God's Will and Man's Will in Peter's Denial of the Lord Part 1

If man has free will, why did Peter and the apostles deny they knew the Lord Jesus Christ when it was their will not to deny Him? Jesus said they all would deny Him, but Peter vehemently disagreed with Jesus, and said that the others might deny Him but he would never deny Him. It was God’s will the shepherd be smitten and the sheep be scattered. It was Peter and the apostles’ will that that would never happen. Peter and the apostles really believed that they would never deny the Lord, yet they did. Scripture teaches that God alone has free will, and only His will is done in earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
