Orson Welles Sketchbook - The Police

Talks about the police, too many laws, losing freedom, liberties, infringement on privacy, assault on dignity. The man who brought you "Citizen Kane" and as he said, "I started at the top and worked my way to the bottom".

I heard from a trusted source that he was a Communist. So what? What happened to freedom? Many authors/journalists feel he left for Europe to avoid having a blacklist tag, but he seemed to have a lot of trouble. I'm sure some of it was himself, being a little lazy/hedonistic, knowing he could always stay at Peter's house if he was really "broke".. So many "broke" people without a cent seem to live it up, and not just the dwelling. He stayed in 5-star hotels. If he was broke, he'd be living in the ghetto.

Still more interesting than anyone else today. Hell, his interviews are better than most of his movies.
