But why is this happening? How could the most powerful country in history fall victim to rampant inflation, ranking in the top ten for highest inflation of the NATO countries? Well... It turns out these things happen when you decide to print more than 20% of your money supply in a single year.

Follow up all that money printing and quantitative easing with 10s of Billions of dollars in money and equipment being sent to a foreign country to promote war and conflict, adding fire to the global instability flame, and you have the perfect storm. Add to the spending that all the equipment, vehicles, and munitions, and armor that was sent needs to be replaced and you can see how you get a +7% inflation rate and a struggling populous.
