Shot Placement: Most Targets are Wrong

Can we all agree that, during a high stress situation, we will default to the level of training we have mastered, not somehow “rise to the occasion”? A life and death encounter, where we are forced to use a handgun to save our lives, qualifies as “high stress”.

Understanding that handguns are relatively poor man-stoppers, the location of our bullet impacts, or shot placement, is one of the key factors to increasing the likelihood that the deadly threat will stop sooner versus later. We will briefly discuss how most of the targets on the market are letting us down when it comes to training and practicing to use a handgun to save our lives.
