Wind damage on bamboo
This bamboo thinned out a bit with Hurricane Nicole. Don’t worry the leaves will grow back very quickly usually within a few weeks in warm weather. Most of our bamboo plants and varieties showed little to no damage after Hurricane Nicole. Did you know Non invasive clumping bamboo can actually slow the wind down and act as a wind break. Clumping bamboo is often used on large properties and backyards for wind mitigation. In Florida we often get hit with in expected high winds and hurricanes. Bamboo can slow down or stop the wind from causing damage and also catch flying debris. #hurricanenicole #hurricanedamage #hurricanedamage2022 #hurricaneseason #hurricaneprep #hurricanepreperation #hurricanepreparedness #hurricaneprep101 #floridahurricane #bambooshoot #orlandobamboonursery
