The Most Bizarre and Surreal Glass Tulip Set to Transform London's Skyline
The boxy buildings that currently dominate the world's urban areas have nothing on the Tulip in terms of appearance. Instead, the planned skyscraper has a long stem that supports a bulbous top and resembles, well, a glass and metal tulip.
Although the Tulip's peculiar shape didn't stop a London planning committee from moving the project closer to completion this week, their acceptance for it may be an indication that future cities may look very different from those we see today.
