Dhole Fact Kindness

#dholefacts Today is international kindness day! Dholes have often been seen as brutish animals which is why the name dhole seems for fitting. In Indian culture, the name dhole is thought to have roots meaning daring and reckless. Look up the definition for dhole in the dictionary and it calls them fierce. Their killing style leaves much to be desired for the squeamish and probably their prey too. But dholes also have a very kind side as well. Being pack animals dholes are very family driven. Dholes have been known to take care of sick or injured animals, which is huge when you consider the effort going into feeding those members, it would make more sense to let them fend for themselves if they don't contribute. All dholes in the pack help take care of pups when they are born as well. Watching dhole strengthen their social bonds with play and licking or nudging and different vocalizations. Dholes are actually very kind and caring to each other.
