Windows 11 is once again destroying Ryzen processors.
Specifically, it is destroying the performance of the new 7000 series CPUs.
For instance, if you get a top-of-the-line 7950X 16 core CPU, it will actually perform better if you disable half of its cores in certain games.
That is because these CPUs are made out of two Core Compute Dies that have 8 cores each.
And Windows 11’s Thread scheduler just doesn’t seem to know how to utilize them properly.
Probably because unlike you it’s not following the tech news, which are known to be able to fix pretty much anything in the known universe.
If this sound familiar it’s because it is, when Windows 11 first launched there were performance issues with Ryzen 5000 series.
So c’mon Microsoft, what are you doin.
