In this original acrylic painting you see an enormous dragon holding a sword which symbolizes war. The dragon demands that the nobleman cross the river and stand before him. He represents the evil banker that will profit from lending money to finance both sides of a war. To the right, the nobleman on horseback wishes to make this deal with the devil, but the horse, sensing the presence of evil tries to escape to the safety of the rational world with which he has become familiar.

The painting measures 22x26.
The optional vintage frame, circa 1980, has a finished size of 30x34.
