CANOE TWENTY - Celebrating Twenty Years of Elevated Canadian Cuisine
On November 21, 2015, Canoe celebrated its 20th anniversary with Canoe Twenty, a commemorative multi-course dinner that welcomed chefs both past and present. Showcasing both past and present-day Canoe and highlighting the brilliance of Canadian ingredients from coast to coast, the evening was a wonderful collaboration between past and present chefs.
Canoe’s next generation, executive chef John Horne and chef de cuisine Coulson Armstrong, was joined by O&B corporate executive chef Anthony Walsh, who has led Canoe’s culinary brigade since the restaurant opened in 1995. Other notable Canoe alumni included Todd Clarmo (Indie Ale House), Tom Brodi (Tom Brodi & Co.), Matt Robertson (Montecito), Doug Penfold (Cava & Chabrol), David Castellan (Soma) and Basilio Pesce.
