What was the Underground Railroad? | The Story of Eliza Harris

You may be wondering... "Hey, what was the Underground Railroad?"
Well basically, the Underground railroad was a way for the abolitionists (people who hated slavery) to:
1. Protest slavery and help the oppressed
2. Defy the unconstitutional and unjust laws of slavery
3. Change people’s minds about slavery and convince them to abolish it

In this video, we're going to tell you a story about the underground railroad so that you have a good idea of what it was and how it worked.
