Election Reaction with Dr. James Dobson and Guest Gary Bauer

On November 8th, Americans across this country cast their ballots for the midterm elections. There was a lot at stake this time around with abortion rights hanging in the balance after the landmark overturning of Roe v. Wade in June. In addition, the governorship and seats in both the U.S. House and Senate were up for grabs in several states. On today’s edition of Family Talk, Dr. James Dobson and Gary Bauer, vice president of public policy at the JDFI discuss the outcome of the recent election and what the future holds for our country.

About Today's Guest: Gary Bauer
Gary Bauer is a conservative Christian family advocate, president of American Values, chairman of Campaign for Working Families, and emeritus Washington director of CUFI Action Fund. Gary also serves as the sr. vice president of public policy for the Dr. James Dobson Family Institute. He has a daily radio commentary called “End of Day Report” that airs on the Bott Radio Network, and a daily “end of day” current affairs newsletter that is emailed to hundreds of thousands of constituents. Previously, Gary served on the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, and was president of Family Research Council. He also served as chief domestic policy advisor to President Ronald Reagan, and was the Under Secretary of Education. He is the author of several books, including Children at Risk, co-authored with Dr. James Dobson. Gary and his wife, Carol, have three adult children and live in Fairfax, Virginia.
