Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) as Leader but acknowledges he will have to win over some Republicans in his bid for Speaker, if the party controls the House. Chuck Todd says the new leadership might face the same old challenges, following former President Trump’s announcement about 2024. If McConnell walked away from Trump during his second impeachment, the party could be in "a very different place."
