Nextorch E51C Review: Innovative EDC Flashlight with a TWIST...
I reviewed the newly released Nextorch E51C EDC flashlight. Does this light measure up to its claims of 1600 lumens and 200m beam distance? Watch my video to find out. You'll be surprised at the unique design of this light... hope you like my pun attempt in the title 😜

Nextorch E51C Video Transcript:
Build quality, and disassembly:
Prior to a few months ago, I'd never even heard of Nextorch. Since reviewing the L10 Max, I've been impressed by the attention to detail and quality of their lights. The E51C has some unique features I didn't expect. The anodizing is impeccable. Feels like I'm holding a professional tool, not just a flashlight.
The charging port under the bezel
The clip is made of high tensile steel (much more rigid than other clips I have) and mechanically locked under tailcap
Metal tactical switch - very sturdy and requires a confident push to activate. I like that, less risk of it turning on by accident.
LED, Lens, Bezel, and Reflector:
Osram P9 is a great choice for a small EDC. It produces less heat than an SST40 for example and I prefer the softer beam profile as well.
AR-coated glass lens.
Anti-roll feature
Size and comparison:
14cm x 2.5cm head diameter, it's the longest 18650 light I have due to the tactical design, potentially the head design too
Compare with S2+, EST, C3, FC12, SC31 Pro
Retention and carry:
Easy to pocket, can barely tell it's there. The clip design makes it extra reliable.
Anodization is chalky but also grippy.
User interface, modes, and operation:
Only one button
Click fully turn on, half press to change mode.
Half-press from off to cycle through L,M,H
Double tap from off to strobe, and fully click to lock
Batteries and charging:
Unscrew the head, USB C
Performance (beam profile, lumens, and run times):
-242m throw on high (measured with Opple Light Master Pro)
CRI/CCT:
• CRI 70+
• 5000-6500K (6500K on high)
What I liked/didn't like:
Build quality anodization I've seen on a flashlight. Matt black with a chalky, yet grippy feel. Built to a standard. Something I've noticed in all Nextorch flashlights regardless of price.
• Innovative head design/clip
• Tactical button, antiroll - something you don't normally see in smaller lights like this
Considerations and Improvements:
• The 'preview' mode is great. Starts in High always but you need to wait 5 seconds between half presses, or it goes to the next mode. So it technically has a tactical switch. The only thing is that I wish it would only go into high from half-press - a personal preference as I use tactical mode to light an area up entirely for a few seconds, then move to another area. Perhaps a way to lock the tactical mode on L-M-H
• No moonlight mode. The lowest mode is still fairly bright but fine at @30+ lumens.
Final Verdict:
This one took me by surprise. The E51C is one of my favorite EDC flashlights! The beam is more on the floody side, for those of you wanting a more 'practical' beam profile. If you're looking for a great quality EDC with tactical functionality, this could be the one for you.
