Taking Rites Seriously II

The development of the male doesn’t come from following the herd. This takes great courage, and requires you to separate yourself from the indolent masses. Becoming a man is more than becoming a biological adult. Remaining apart of the herd will cause you to remain a child mentally, far too long. Following the herd will stunt your growth, and prevent you from becoming an adult.

Regardless of what policy or anything else teaches. This is deeply ingrained in the psyche, and can’t be removed by fiat. Man has an irreducible core. This can’t be changed, and must be dealt with accordingly. The main threat to a boy’s development is statism. This will rob him of his independence, and will be overcome by the statist complex. At which point, his chances of becoming an adult are minimized.
