Ornamental grasses have been gaining quite a bit of popularity in landscapes, but some are not quite our flair, like the Miscanthus grass that was already planted on this land. Miscanthus grass, also known as Chinese silver grass or maiden grass, wouldn't necessarily be my first choice of grass in a landscape, but it's here on the land, and we had to snip it back to at least maintain it. Maybe eventually we'll try to remove it (or contain it) in the landscape, but for now, it just needs a little snip.
