When we first came to see the land at Flock, we were both surprised and thrilled to see an assortment of mature trees, particularly all the Japanese maple (Acer palmatum) cultivars.

Though not a tree we would have initially gravitated towards planting in the landscape—after learning more about the Japanese maple, we became enrapt by their four-season beauty, versatility and cultural history. So much so that we started to get more to plant within the landscape. In this video, we'll take you for a tour through our Japanese maples and share tips on selection, growing and care.
