One of the great pleasures we have is touring (and supporting) some of our local greenhouses and nurseries in the Finger Lakes area. Additionally, getting plants locally will often mean that those plants are more accustomed to the weather patterns of the area. One of the nurseries we had been planning to visit since getting on the land was Coldwater Pond Nursery, run by Ted Hildebrandt—a third-generation nurseryman.
