Flying Less Than A Mile From Canada ~ Northern Aroostook Regional Airport, Maine (KFVE)

Recorded February 21st, 2022. This was on my commercial long cross country flight of greater than 250NM straight line distance. Northern Aroostook Regional happens to be 255NM from my base at Sanford Seacoast Regional Airport, so it worked out well. They had just gotten a foot or two of snow dumped on them and were still clearing out. Snow was drifted higher than my wings on the taxiway! This airport is located so far north in Maine, it is 2,000 feet from the border on one taxiway. Lots of snowmobiling on the frozen lakes!
