St Catherine of Siena, medical hero

Catherine is patron Saint of nurses. In 1374, when the bubonic plague came to her town. Everyone who could, fled. Catherine was a nurse who took care of the sickest patients.
She said, "Christ stayed with the sick. I will do the same." She stayed to help the patients throughout. She did many other good and brave things. She is also the patron Saint of Italy.
