Darrell Brooks represented himself in a trial that that started on October 3, 2022 where he was convicted on October 26, 2022 of 76 felony counts, including 6 counts of First-Degree intentional homicide. Each one of the homicide convictions has a mandatory life in prison sentence, so Brooks will never be a free man ever again.

Per the Waukesha County District Attorney, 45 victims (including 9 children under the age of 18) will speak and are being limited to 6 minutes of time in the courtroom. Darrell Brooks has listed 9 people that will speak on his behalf

Sentencing is expected to take 2 days.
