Fitting of straight flight staircase alone.

Fitting of straight flight staircase, floor above has been trimmed back 20mm to take top of stair tread. 4x1 timber attached to side of string to block wall, this is to allow for the dot and dab and plasterboard, so board will land on top of string. Newel is notched out to hook around trimmer and joist and notch will not be seen.
