In New York State at the height of the (so-called pandemic), the state legislature gave
emergency powers first to Governor Cuomo which then were absorbed by Interim
Governor Hochul. 😡

One legislative branch of government cannot give their power to another branch of
government, and this is when attorney Bobbie Anne Cox sued Governor Hochul and
won. The executive branch cannot legislate, only the elected legislature representing
the people may do that.

It is tyrannical for a government to take power it is not entitled to. The US Constitution
was written to keep the government in check, it was not written to keep the people in
check.

Washington is broken. Here at Convention of States we have a solution as big as the
problem.

An Article V Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has
the power to PROPOSE constitutional amendments.

These are our three, simple talking
points.
1. Limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government (including the president)
2. Limit the terms of office for federal officials
3. Limit the ability of Congress and the president to spend and waste our hard-earned
money, via a Balanced Budget Amendment
