Our officers rescued this stray dog!

In late January a Good Samaritan called in about a loose dog wandering around a large field in Pinole. Our officers spotted him and after some unsuccessful attempts to get him in their truck decided that they would need to use a trap. The poor dog was very scared, and would not approach people at all. The officers set a trap with food inside and the dog immediately went in because he was so hungry. He was immediately taken to our treatment room to get some medical care, and to trim his super long nails. After a few months with us he is now doing better medically and is even starting to trust people again! He's a sweet and sensitive boy! When we originally got the call about him being loose we heard that he was with a little Dachshund (who was taken in by the finder) so there's a chance he might do well with another dog. Come be Roy's happy ending! Through the 14th all dogs are $25 to qualified homes.
