Homemade Pumpkin Pie using Lard | Collab with @Crystal Lopez | How to MAKE ( Complete Fail )

In this video, I share with you how I made my pumpkin pie crust using lard from the pigs we butchered this year. This is my third attempt to get this crust just right!

➡️My pumpkin pie Crust:
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter cold
1/2 cup lard cold
1 egg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Up to 5 tablespoons cold water ( I only needed 2 )
Instructions:
Add flour, salt, egg, vanilla, cut-in butter, and lard
Mix until crumble
Form into a ball
Roll slightly between two pieces of plastic wrap
Put in the fridge overnight
Preheat oven to 350
Add a cookie sheet to your oven while preheating
Bake for 10 min or until lightly browned
COOL
Add pie filling
wipe down the crust with milk
add foil to the crust so it doesn't burn
Cook for 40 - 50 min
Let cool
➡️Pumpkin Pie filling:
1 can of pumpkin
3/4 cup sugar or (replace with sweetened condensed milk)
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
Mix all together
