Israel is not the elect

Scripture says "Israel failed to obtain what is was seeking but the elect obtained it" - therefore Israel cannot be the elect. That goes against everything you were told in about who the elect is. (Romans 11 v 7; 1 Thess 5 v 27; 2nd Thess; Mark 13 v 37; Matt 24) 111722
