Is James Cameron only planning 3 Avatar movies?

The first of the Avatar movies made one hundred billion billion dollars in the box office, so it was only a matter of time before they made more.

Cameron had planned 5, but it now looks like his only going to make 3 of them, then see how they do, coz, you know, it's all about the money these days.
