Calendula Oil from Flowers

One of the last things I can preserve from my garden is calendula flowers, also known as pot marigold. It took about 3 days to dry the flower heads/petals and now I put them in an 8 oz. jelly jar and filled it with oil (I used grapeseed oil). I put the jar in a dark cupboard, I'll shake it occasionally and then in 4-6 weeks, I'll strain the petals out. Pretty simple, really. It is rather greasy as an oil, so I will probably combine the oil with beeswax and turn it into a healing salve: 8 oz. of the calendula oil to 1 oz. beeswax.
