Bridge Capital Welcomes New Members!

Hongyan, the “Red Rock”, is the name of a location in Chongqing. Great history happened here as a novel of the same name was published about 60 years ago in China to praise the strong will of Chinese revolutionists.

Sharing its name, Hongyancun Bridge across the Jialing River, formally opened itself to the public recently. Its red shape honored the name and the historical significance of this location.

As the youngest member starting service in the bridge capital Chongqing, Hongyan Village Bridge was built upon the hills. Eight tunnels have been dug to link different roads in the city.

Built upon the hills and rivers, Chongqing people’s daily transportation largely rely on the bridge. That means not just cars and people will move across the bridge. Rail transit also does.

Nanjimen Bridge, another bridge in construction crossing the Yangtze River, longer than the Hongyancun Bridge, will only be used by the rail transit line 10.
