I believe in positive police reform. This means properly funding the police to fulfill the needs of their citizens in a safe manner. Ensure proper training to ensure that the civil rights of the citizens they encounter are protected while treating every person they interact with dignity and respect.
Modernizing for police should include:
• Body Cams for all law enforcement officers that visual and audio cannot be turned off during an encounter or incident with a citizen
• Dash Came and real time GPS tracing devices for all law enforcement vehicles
• All devices that can be used for legal purposes in a court must have a method to report what the officer observed via print or PDF of uneditable values captured by the device. This would include any type of speed detection device as an example
• Change in civil asset forfeiture to criminal asset forfeiture. No conviction law enforcement cannot keep the assets
• Change in qualified immunity. To hold law enforcement officers accountable to knowing breaking the law while on duty
