Instead of replacing a brushed motor when it is unresponsive simply follow these steps and save money.

-Remove from car
-Hold over a tray
-Spray WD40 (or similar) through motor holes
-Shake out excess
-Test motor up to full throttle
-Reinstall into car and set mesh
-Continue playing

I have a 1987 brushed motor 540 from an original tamiya midnight pumpkin still running today in 2022 as good as new only ever cleaned this way.
