Did FTX owner and CEO Sam Bankman-Fried flee to Argentina? 🇦🇷

When travel meets crypto. Sam Bankman-Fried, founder and CEO of crypto trading platform FTX, has most likely fled to Argentina on a private jet earlier today. This comes after the crypto exchange collapsed, wiping out almost all of the wealth Bankman-Fried had acquired over recent years. He would have lost well over 16 billion US dollars in value.

Bankman-Fried announced yesterday, Friday November 11, 2022, that FTX filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. After that, his Twitter account went quiet, as he was most likely packing his last belongings to hop on a flight out of the Bahama’s, where he was living.

His Gulfstream 450 with Argentinian registration number LV KEB departed from Nassau airport in The Bahama’s at just after 8 PM local time and arrived at Buenos Aires at around half past six this morning. Whether he actually was on board has to be seen, but it’s known he used this plane for flights between the Bahama’s and the United States recently.
