Marriage, Faith, Greek Myths, and The Positively Traumatic

According to Greek Myths, humans originally had four arms, four legs, and a single head made of two faces. Zeus split the humans in half as punishment for humanity’s pride because the humans were growing too powerful and careless with that power.

Are Gods and Goddesses subconscious archetypes of being that manifest themselves through our actions every day?

The trauma of life would then result in the realization that love is a side effect of understanding, and this understanding comes through the individuation of the self. Marriage in itself is not an objective of life, but a tool to help one realize the totality of one’s inner being as it is and to be fruitful in offspring and love of one another by choosing to forgive.
