My Arrest at the Drag Queen Story Hour

In June of 2019, I was arrest for protesting at the first ever drag queen story hour in Spokane, WA. When told that I must remove myself to a "free speech zone" across the street, I refused—since all US soil is a Constitutionally protected free speech zone—and was subsequently charged with "obstruction of police".

While there, I had snipers from SWAT on the roof of our library aimed in my direction and local police were only letting in people into the public library who directly identified as or supported LGBTQ ideology.

After a 2 year legal battle with the help of the Pacific Justice Institute (PJI) who defended me pro bono, the city of Spokane dropped the case without fines on the condition that I not be arrested for one year. That year is up and I am a free man.
