They publish papers for central banks and Swift, and in doing so, they accidentally leaked the idea of a global settlement coin. If you cross-reference this information with recent announcements from the IMF's XC exchange regarding their plans for trustless cross-border payments, it's evident that a fundamental change is coming to the way cross-border payments are processed. But at the same time, we are dealing with Triffin's Dilemma: the world is reliant on dollars and money printing, however, the US must rein in domestic inflation but cannot do so because every currency is pegged to the US dollar. If we were to de-peg the world's currencies, economies would be independent and would either succeed or fail based on their own merits, rather than being influenced by US monetary policy.

The IMF and other powerful institutions are well aware of the fact that the status quo is changing. Triffin proposed his paradox in the 1960s, which is why the IMF was created and the SDR exists today. When the US gets to a breaking point with debt and inflation, the IMF can bail everyone out. Detangling cross-border payments is one step of this paradigm shift.
