In this expanded version of what Gard presented for MRCTV, we dig into the recent suit brought by numerous California-based doctors against the state for its soon-to-be executable statute AB 2098. The statute allows the state to pull the "licenses" of doctors who express views contrary to the government's choice of what is the "scientific consensus". It's a big problem, and it's got roots that go deeper into US history than some folks might at first consider. In fact, it touches on a 1994 Supreme Court ruling, it touches on immoral government licensing laws from the Jim Crow era, and it goes all the way back to the trial of Galileo.
