    My husband and I have been prepping since the first week we were married. We taught our children the importance of being prepared and now our daughter is helping to teaching others and helping them become prepare. At the end of 2019 my daughter was asked to teach a preparedness class at church. Among the things she taught, she told the story of her father's obsession with toilet paper. He remembered in the 70's when there were shortages that Johnny Carson made a joke on his show about a toilet paper shortage. The next time he went to the store with his mom, there was no toilet paper in stock. Well, that must have hit home with some of the ladies there. Many of them went out and bought extra toilet paper. In March/April 2020, when people were scrambling for toilet paper, my daughter began receiving calls and texts about how grateful these women were that their families had enough toilet paper. The all said they would begin taking preparations more seriously. My son-in-law, who never really saw the need for emergency preps but said he didn't have a problem with my daughter doing emergency storage told her that any preps she thought their small family needed, if she could find room in the family budget for it she could get it.
