UK food banks at breaking point as cost-of-living crisis deepens

UK food banks have spoken out about feeling the pressure of decline in donations, while the number of those seeking help is rising.

A volunteer for Earlsfield food bank said some of the people who used to make regular donations in the past have now been forced by soaring prices to use those services.

Shelves that used to be full of food are now half empty, as demand increased and donations declined because of the cost of living crisis.
