Want to connect a fused circuit / fuse tap your vehicle? Want to power an auxiliary device like a dashcam or power socket? Want it safe, reliable and with clear and simple instructions?
Here I’m looking at adding a fused circuit directly from the fuse box of a vehicle to safely power any auxiliary device adding a fuse tap using a *Piggyback Fuse Holder like these...*

My car’s fuse box is not very convenient for making a video, so I used a model fuse board and a few helpful diagrams to make this really simple to understand.
I also very quickly run through some extremely basic electronics, particularly in relation to vehicles, to give you the knowledge to safely connect circuits in the future.
I ensure that the connection is safe and secure by using a piggyback fuse holder which provides a stable, reliable connection and a fused outlet.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Some folks are bothered by Piggyback Fuse Holders. I've had many comments about them. To help appease these folks I conducted a fuller investigation of the Piggyback which you can see online here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mBa5rRZbCk
The outcome of this was that in my opinion the Piggyback is safe and dependable. It can be fitted either way and will still work correctly. However, if fitted incorrect and IF the original fuse blows, then it will not provide power (until the fuse is replaced).

SAFETY CONCERN:
Whilst fitting a Piggyback Fuse Holder / Wire Tap is acceptable, there is the danger of overload. I strongly recommend watching my video dedicated to the subject here - https://youtu.be/hvi-Xv9wFOI
