Giant Fish Almost Tips Boat Over!!

The video was captured by local resident Brad Hinks, on his mobile phone, when he was on a fishing trip off the coast of Darwin.

The enormous fish can be seen in shallow water a few feet away before it suddenly rams the side of the boat and swims off.

“While out fishing on the flats around Darwin I saw something moving around some sunken trees. We initially thought it was a crocodile, but the way it was swimming changed our minds quickly. We decided to have a closer look and followed it around for a minute or so” Brad later wrote online.

“Once i had finally fumbled around the boat to find my phone, I got the last of our experience on camera. The HUGE Queensland Groper was then startled and took off taking a few turns and then swam straight under the boat. In only 2-3 feet of water he bumped the boat almost causing us to capsize. He was easily over 2 meters and well over 100 kg so it was pretty scary when he swam under us. He then continued to power out towards the depths. A truly amazing experience with an amazing creature.”
