FINALLY Getting To Start Our Homestead | Developing The Property

Hi - We are Douglas and Keri! In May of 2022 we quit our jobs and sold our home in Denver, Colorado to move to our off grid homestead property in Cochise County, Arizona. Follow along with us as we build our homestead from the ground up!

In this video you will get to see us arrive on the property for the first time after the driveway and build site were cut in while we were off vacationing and laying around ;-)

We also made our first HUGE purchases of a small hauling trailer and an IBC tote. We purchased a hauling trailer from Harbor Freight for $1199.99. We tried to find a used one, but no luck. We also purchased this 275 gallon IBC tote from Harbor Freight for $429.99. We also decided to purchase a shade canopy because many areas that we will be working have no large trees and we also wanted an area for the 2 rebels (our dogs Willow & Zoey) to hang out under. We bought one from WalMart for $39.98.

Things are HAPPENING people and it’s pretty dang exciting :) Next up will be the research we did on our fencing and what we decided to go with, so stay tuned!
