Transformers Studio Series - DOTM Laserbeak Review

In this unboxing / review, we’ll be taking a detailed look at the Transformers Core Class Decepticon Laserbeak from the Michael Bay film, Dark of the Moon. This is Laserbeak as we saw him in his “Power Wheels” Bumblebee Camaro mode.

Both modes look good for a core class, and the alt mode is that Camaro licensed by GM.

Articulation is sub-par on this figure. Limited head, and nothing at the waist or wrists. Thigh rotation is very minor, and there is no ankle tilt.

Quality is good. The only issue I have on my copy is a bit of a gap in alt mode.

Overall value is on point with MSRP. I paid $8.49 USD at a local Target store, and I’m just fine with that price.

My conclusion – this is an OK core class figure. He’s certainly not the best out there, but it’s still fun to see Laserbeak from what is arguably one of the creepiest scenes from the Bayverse films. And of course, the winged henchman is always ready to serve Soundwave and Lord Megatron to help stop Optimus Prime and the Autobot forces.
