CRV 1-2-3, Episode Twelve: Replace Your Front Bumper Reinforcement Beam

CRV 1-2-3 documents - in ten-ish minute videos - the trials I went through in turning a salvage title CRV EX AWD into something drivable. This vehicle came from New England. There were dead cockroaches throughout, it smelled like someone had died in it, and the rust. OMG, the rust. They use so much salt up there I was shocked that any of the car's frame remained. In episode one I show you how to start taking apart the front suspension. ALL OF IT HAD TO BE REPLACED!!!!

In this episode: When I originally got my CRV, it looked like the previous owner had dinged the front bumper beam or had tried to tow the car from it. If you have a bent front reinforcement beam, here's how to replace it. One strange thing: Honda did NOT put torque specs for the front beam bolts anywhere - not in their shop service manual, or in their body repair manual. Car repair
