Not a fork, or so the developers say, but it doesn't matter. They have built a marvellous little distro that should satisfy all Linux gamers. Built with gaming as its focus, it comes fully equipped out-of-box. A good daily driver too...
**As an 'afternote', I have switched back to wayland, and things have improved 100%, no crashes since doing so...
