The POW camp in the Philippines where US Army Colonel Chad Hogan is currently detained is, in Colonel Hogan's opinion, the worst place on Earth. January of 1944. In 1943, he was apprehended.
He's unaware at the moment that the camp in the Philippines is preferable to the camp to which he is being transferred. He is currently waiting in a line of mostly US POWs to board one of the ships that make up the fleet they have dubbed the "Hell Ships."
