Loss and damage at COP27: In Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, the UN Climate Convention is preparing for its 27th iteration. The world community can come together at COP27 to strive toward ambitious climate targets, but there isn't much time left.

Climate change has not all people equally affected. The most defenceless suffer the greatest cost. The most significant losses and harm will be experienced by those who were born in the Global South, women, children, the disabled, ethnic minorities, gender and sexual minorities, and Indigenous people. And they face the most obstacles in getting their messages through.

For this reason, the Greens/EFA in the European Parliament are allowing those who are typically unheard at climate conferences to speak at COP27.
