Pilots of Ukrainian jets are looking for cruise missiles.
In the last three weeks, Russia has attacked Ukraine with hundreds of cruise missiles and
drones, killing dozens of people and inflicting nationwide power outages. A MiG-29 fighter pilot,
going by his callsign “Juice” talked to the BBC about the pressure jet pilots are under with
attempting to block lethal Russian missiles from striking Ukraine's towns. In the interview he
stated “it’s a terrible feeling that somebody will die. Somebody will die in minutes and you didn’t
prevent that.” Despite the Ukrainian Air Force being about tenth the size of Russia’s and having
heavily damaged bases, they have been successful in defending Russia from controlling their
skies. Although “Juice” explained at the end of the interview that eventually they will require
more advanced jets
