Happy birthday kiddo. We miss you so much

Big 24 lol… I wonder how many bones you would have broken this year, how many bars you would have been carried out of. And how many awesome Pokémon you could have caught. I kinda retired when you went. Really only started doing it again. So we would have something in common, and something to talk about. I miss you a bunch.
Every time I hear the first song… it makes me think of you, in the last couple years of your life. Something had changed. And it was good. I was looking forward to getting to know you… not on the “evil stepmom” level. But, just a person. And who you were becoming. I think that’s what hurts the most. Not the past. Because it kinda sucked most of the time. But the future, because it felt like it was going to be Alright.
The second song. Because I love you… regardless of anything. Good, bad or in the middle. I love you. And I always will. You are most definitely always gonna be “my favorite pain in the ass, smart mouthed” person. You will always be my person.
