November 11th is Remembrance Day in the UK. The day when people pay their respects and give thanks to those that laid down their lives in war, to defend the freedoms of themselves, their loved ones, and future generations.

Remembrance Sunday is a time when you look at the horrors of history, look at how they came to pass, why good men did nothing, and why human beings allowed and even enacted such heinous acts against their fellow humans.

And as we have learnt through the past, whether it be Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russia, Maoist China, or the Covid tyrants, these barbaric regimes and the masses they have under their hypnosis, don’t appreciate those that point out where their actions are leading.

On this week's Right Now special, Gareth is joined by someone that knows only too well what happens when people become apathetic to the suffering of others and choose, often through fear, to look the other way.

Vera Sharev was taken from her home in Romania as a small child and moved to a Nazi concentration camp, where she witnessed humanity's inhumanity to man.

That allowed her to identify the shoots of evil in their infancy, and use her experience and voice, to tell us in March 2020, that we are going down a dark dark path.
