Singapore Sports Awards: Loh Kean Yew named Sportsman of the Year

Loh Kean Yew has been named Sportsman of the Year at this year's Singapore Sports Awards. The current world number 3 is only the second badminton player to win the award, after Ronald Susilo in 2005. Yu Mengyu took home Sportswoman of the Year. Yu had a brilliant run at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics where she reached the semi-final, despite being ranked world number 47 then. The Team of the Year award went to the men's bowling team that clinched silver at the 2021 IBF Super World Championships in Dubai.
